Yes our reglazing services include but are not limited to bathtubs, countertops, kitchen cabinets, showers, sinks, and tile.
Are tile reglazing and refinishing the same thing?
Tile Reglazing is also known as Tile Refinishing, Tile Resurfacing, Tile Restoration, Tile Painting, Etc.
What tile can you reglaze?
Backsplash Tile, Bathroom Tile, Ceramic Tile, Countertop Tile, Fireplace Tile, Floor Tile, Glass Tile, Kitchen Tile, Mosaic Tile, Porcelain Tile, Shower Tile, Etc.
Can you remove soap dishes, toothbrush holders, towel bars, etc?
Absolutely we can give you a quote for that if you want to add it to your reglazing project. What we do is remove those items and then replace them with the same tiles you have normally in older homes like a four by four tile for example prior to doing the reglazing. Once we are done with the reglazing you shouldn’t be able to tell that anything was replaced!
What is your service area?
We serve Kirkwood as a part of our St. Louis Metro Service Area including but not limited to Alton, IL, Belleville, IL, Carbondale, IL, Centralia, IL, St. Charles, MO, Sunset Hills, MO, Washington, MO, Webster Groves, MO, Wentzville, MO, Etc.
How much does tile reglazing cost?
It normally costs under $2,000 if you have a smaller bathroom with older four by four tile and a standard size bathtub to reglaze both. That is of course assuming neither of them has been reglazed before or has any major repairs. Which of course we can still do the work if that is the case but that will take more time and material which obviously increases the cost. The easiest way to get a quote for your project is to email or text us a few photos of your tile to either office@stlreglazing.com or (314) 788-4717.
Do I have to do bright white?
Bright white is the color we use the most because it goes with everything and we always have it in stock. That being said we can create a custom color in over 5,000 different solid colors we match the colors in a Sherwin Williams deck even though we don’t use their products. On top of that we have colors that simulate the look of stone and marble. You are only limited by your imagination, call us today to learn more.
How do you handle the grout with tile refinishing?
You will still have grout lines after your tile is reglazed. The grout and the tile will both be covered in our coating. The coating we use is water, heat, chemical, and scratch resistant, and it should be more resistant to mold and mildew while being easier to clean as long as you follow our care instructions.
If there is any loose or missing grout we will repair that before refinishing the tile. In fact it is standard operating procedure on most projects to fill all of the grout lines with new grout. That being said if your grout is old, failing, falling out of the wall. Then we need to dig all of that grout out and completely regrout your tile. This is an extra step and an extra cost so please be sure to request regrouting and reglazing if you need both on your quote. Please call us to learn more today.
Explain your 10 year warranty to me.
St. Louis Bathtub & Tile Reglazing offers a 10 year warranty to residential customers. Our warranty covers defects in our workmanship at no cost to you.
What is amazing about our warranty is it covers accidental damage, wear or tear, acts of god and many other things not covered by traditional tile refinishing or reglazing warranties with a deductible.
So for example if you had your bathtub and tile reglazed by us. Three years down the road a plumber comes in and just ruins the bathtub and it needs to be reglazed from scratch. Most of our competitors would charge you $700 – $1,000 to reglaze the tub again. We would charge you a $195 deductible under the warranty to reglaze the tub again. This has saved many of our customers a great deal of cost and misfortune over time.
